Cookventure Home Cooking Studio Refund Policy

Please read our refund policy carefully before booking or enrolling in any cooking class, course, workshop, or DTV Visa support program.

Refund Policy

1 Definitions

For the purposes of this Agreement:

“Course Start Date” means the first scheduled day of the course as stated in the official confirmation issued by the School.

“Cancellation” means a written notice submitted by the Student via email and acknowledged by the School.

“Fees” means all amounts paid by the Student to the School under this Agreement.

“Non-Refundable Fees” include, but are not limited to, administrative fees, document preparation fees, visa support fees, translation costs, curriculum preparation costs, bank charges, payment gateway fees, exchange rate losses, and any third-party costs incurred by the School.

 

2 General Refund Entitlement

The Student shall be entitled to a refund of Fees paid, less all applicable Non-Refundable Fees, only if Cancellation is made not less than thirty (30) calendar days prior to the Course Start Date.

No refund shall be granted where:

Cancellation is made within thirty (30) days prior to the Course Start Date;

The course has already commenced;

School documents, acceptance letters, schedules, certificates, or visa-supporting documents have already been issued;

The Student voluntarily withdraws, fails to attend, abandons the course, or becomes unable to participate for personal reasons.

For the avoidance of doubt, any request to withdraw, discontinue, postpone indefinitely, or not attend the course shall constitute Cancellation under this clause.

 

3 Visa-Related Conditions

Cookventure Home Cooking Studio provides educational services and supporting documentation only. The School does not guarantee:

DTV visa approval;

Approval by any embassy, consulate, or immigration authority;

Entry into Thailand;

Visa extension, conversion, or renewal.

A refund relating to visa rejection may only be considered where ALL of the following conditions are strictly satisfied:

The Student’s visa application is formally rejected;

The rejection is directly and solely caused by a material error in official documentation issued by the School;

The Student has provided complete, accurate, lawful, and truthful information at all times;

The Student has complied fully with all instructions, procedures, timelines, interview requirements, and document requests;

The visa application was submitted strictly in accordance with the School’s written guidance.

No refund shall be granted where visa rejection results from:

The independent discretion of the embassy, consulate, or immigration authority;

Financial insufficiency or inability to satisfy visa requirements;

Incomplete, inaccurate, expired, inconsistent, or misleading information provided by the Student;

Failure by the Student to submit required documents, attend interviews, respond to requests, or meet deadlines;

Submission of applications independently or through third parties without written confirmation from the School;

Criminal history, immigration history, overstays, prior visa violations, security concerns, or any circumstances beyond the School’s control.

The Student bears the burden of proof and must provide official written evidence clearly stating the reason for rejection.

 

4 Non-Refundable Fees

The Student expressly acknowledges and agrees that all Non-Refundable Fees are strictly non-refundable under all circumstances, including but not limited to:

Cancellation;

Visa rejection;

Failure to attend classes;

Voluntary withdrawal;

Delayed arrival;

Schedule conflicts;

Personal emergencies.

The School reserves the right to determine, allocate, and itemize such costs based on actual expenses incurred.

 

5 No Double Recovery

If more than one clause under this Agreement may apply to the same situation, the School shall have the sole and absolute discretion to determine which provision applies.

Under no circumstances shall the Student be entitled to multiple refunds, duplicate compensation, combined benefits, consequential damages, or indirect losses.

 

6 Refund Process

All refund requests are subject to internal review, verification, and written approval by the School.

Approved refunds shall be processed within seven (7) to fourteen (14) business days from the date approval is issued.

Refunds shall be made only via bank transfer to an account designated by the Student.

All bank charges, intermediary fees, exchange rate differences, transfer costs, Wise fees, PayPal fees, Stripe fees, and other third-party processing charges shall be borne solely by the Student.

 

7 Rescheduling

The Student may request to reschedule the course one (1) time only, provided that written notice is submitted not less than fourteen (14) days prior to the Course Start Date.

Any request submitted within fourteen (14) days prior to the Course Start Date may be rejected at the School’s sole discretion.

The rescheduled course must be attended within six (6) months from the original Course Start Date, failing which all Fees shall be forfeited without refund.

 

8 Transfer of Enrollment

Enrollment may be transferred one (1) time only to another individual, subject to:

Written notice submitted at least seven (7) days prior to the Course Start Date;

Prior written approval by the School;

The replacement participant satisfying all eligibility and documentation requirements.

The School reserves the right to reject transfer requests where documents have already been issued under the original Student’s name or where legal, immigration, or administrative concerns may arise.

Administrative fees may apply.

 

9 Force Majeure

The School shall not be liable for any delay, interruption, cancellation, inability to perform, or failure arising from events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:

Natural disasters;

Pandemics or public health emergencies;

Government orders or restrictions;

Political unrest or civil disturbances;

Transportation disruptions;

Embassy or immigration policy changes;

Utility failures, internet outages, labor shortages, or other unforeseen events.

In such circumstances, the School may, at its sole discretion:

Offer rescheduling;

Offer online alternatives;

Offer partial refund consideration.

The Student acknowledges that refunds under this clause are not guaranteed.

 

10 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the School’s total liability under this Agreement shall not exceed the amount of Fees actually paid directly to the School by the Student.

The School shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or economic losses, including travel expenses, accommodation costs, loss of opportunity, visa costs, or emotional distress.

 

11 Finality of Decision

All decisions made by the School relating to refunds, eligibility, attendance, visa-support documentation, interpretation of policy, and enforcement of this Agreement shall be final and binding.
